I went to visit my friend Rob Kalin yesterday. He has the most amazing workspace I’ve ever been in. It’s an all glass penthouse on the roof of a civil war era warehouse in Red Hook. He looks out over all of NY Harbor and it’s an incredible view.

When I arrived in his office, Rob picked up his acoustic guitar and without saying a word started singing this song for me. He’s a gifted musician in addition to all of his other many talents. It was a great moment.

I didn’t record his version so the original will have to do.
