In general, don’t change your normal life’s plans to accomodate a date. If you’ve been trying to schedule something for weeks and something can be stretched then fine. Maybe you didn’t need to go to the gym that one day out of the month.
Otherwise, you just set the precedent of cancelling plans for someone else and also lose your identity and stability too much if it gets out of hand.
